ROSHOLT ELECTED TO HCC BOARD OF
DIRECTORS
HOUSTON (August 26, 2008) . . .
HCC Insurance Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: HCC) announced today that Robert
A. Rosholt has been elected as an independent member of the Company’s Board
of Directors.
“We are very pleased to have someone with Bob Rosholt’s strong financial
background on the HCC Board of Directors. We believe that with his
considerable experience as both a banker and insurance executive he will be
able to make a substantial contribution to our Board,” HCC Chief Executive
Officer Frank J. Bramanti said.
Mr. Rosholt recently retired from his position as Executive Vice President
–
Chief Financial Officer for Nationwide in Columbus, Ohio, a position he
has held since 2002. Before joining Nationwide, he was Executive Vice
President and Chief of Operations-Risk Services with AON. Earlier, he spent
more than 25 years with First Chicago Corporation/Bank One, holding a number
of management positions. Mr. Rosholt has a B.S. degree in Mathematics and
Economics from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN, and an M.B.A. degree from
the University of Rochester.
Mr. Rosholt fills a new board seat created by the HCC Board on August 20,
2008.
