HCC TAKES PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES
AT HOME OFFICE FOR HURRICANE IKE
HOUSTON (September 11, 2008) . . .
HCC Insurance Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: HCC) announced today that the
Company has activated its emergency weather plan to protect its employees
and fixed assets due to the incoming storm. The HCC home office in Houston,
Texas will close at 2:00 p.m. today and be closed on Friday, September 12,
2008. The Company anticipates the office will re-open at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, September
15, 2008.
